Sex Trafficking is the second largest criminal enterprise in the world and hundreds of thousands of people, mostly women and girls are trafficked in the state of Texas. Sexual exploitation takes on many faces. When women are forced, frauded, or coerced into dancing in strip clubs, prostituting, participating in pornography, or engaging in sex chat rooms they are victimized. The sad fact is, many victims don’t even realize they are victims because traffickers are brilliant at convincing them they have made a choice to sell their bodies. The more vulnerable a woman or girl is, the more likely she will be approached by one or more traffickers.
At Redeemed, we work to help women heal from the trauma they sustain while being trafficked and we work to reduce or eliminate the vulnerabilities that could make them victims again. Learn more about our long-term residential program and how you can get involved today. Watch Amanda’s Story here.
